WoW: Pissin the night away

Posted in on October 1st, 2006

Blizzard told Mark he controls his account again. He’s unable to log in with the temporary password they gave him. A /Friend Histoon returns a “Player not found” response. We have no idea when or if he’ll be able to continue with his old toons.

To pass the time he created a temporary account, we all build new undead somethings and played those Thursday and Friday. It’s not as exciting as doing instances, but it kept us busy, and groups of 9s and 10s, when you are only 4, are a bit of a challenge. Two major drawbacks with the temporary accounts: they can’t trade with regular players and its temporary - ending soon if he doesn’t pay for it. What a dilemma.

Mike and I have been doing battleground for the last few days. I foolishly chose a rogue. Not that rogue isn’t great. It’s just that half of all 19 battlegrounders are rogue. I prefer being different. I’ve got a couple other toons I could use, but I’ve already spent a goodly amount of gold twinking my rogue ride.

I did a battleground tonight where I got only one honor kill, no killing blows. Against a coordinated team it can be hard with your average pug. Mike and I are trying to learn to coordinate. It would be way cool if we could talk Mark into joining us. I guess that all depends on if he gets his account back. What goes with a hunter and rogue? I’m thinking druid or shaman. Actually, it doesn’t matter. We could work up a system using any three. We’ve proved that to ourselves a hundred times.
